MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The Mississippi College baseball team saw its nine-game win streak snapped in the final, non-conference contest of the regular season as the Choctaws fell 7-6 in 13 innings at Southern Arkansas University on Tuesday, April 16.
The extra-inning affair marked the fourth of the season for the Navy and Gold and the longest outing of the season.
Luke Yancey and Blaine Crim each posted multiple hit efforts. Crim went 3-for-6 while Yancey went 3-for-5. The duo each scored a run. Billy Cameron led the team with three RBI.
Christian Bellew (1-2) tossed two innings and allowed one run on three hits with two walks and three strikeouts in the loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Southern Arkansas opened the contest with four runs in their half of the first, including back-to-back home runs.
- The Choctaws scratched across their first run of the game in the fifth. After Yawn walked to lead-off the inning, Luke Yancey followed with a single to center field. Hunter Sykes pushed the duo into scoring position with a sacrifice bunt and Dylan Duplechain manufactured a RBI with a ground out.
- After the Muleriders regain the four-run lead with a run in the fifth, Blaine Crim scored in the top of the sixth on a Billy Cameron ground out. Crim led off the frame with a triple that bounced off the right field wall.
- Cameron pulled the Choctaws within a run in the top of the eighth with a two-run home run to left center – his seventh of the season. Barber scored on the home run after reaching a walk.
- After Southern Arkansas picked up a run in the bottom of the eighth, the Choctaws responded in the top of the ninth with a pair runs.
ON THE MOUND
- Garrett Hollinghead tossed one frame in the start as he allowed four runs on two hits. Hollinghead allowed one walk and registered a strikeout.
- Dustan Dille went five innings a relief effort with a run surrendered on seven hits and three walks.
- Tim Holloway tossed a 1.1 with a run allowed on two hits with three walks and three strikeouts.
- Brandon Kennedy pitched 2.2 frames and allowed two hits with two walks and three strikeouts.
